The Car Ride Home, Live
Friday, November 20 at 7 p.m. on Zoom. Bring your questions. Athletes are welcome too.
For athletes
Your body's trained. Now let's train your mind.
Missed shot. Bad call. Coming back from an injury. The game keeps moving, and so does your mind. I'm Dr. Clifford, a psychologist and coach, and I teach athletes how to switch and pivot without shutting down.
01
No Sidelines
Park it, don't bury it.
02
No Ceiling
Your mind takes you further than your body can alone.
03
Read the Room, Read the Mind
Know what you're up against.
What you get: one-on-one coaching, your own CoachNow Space for film and check-ins, and tools you can use mid-game.
For parents
Your athlete's mental game, built early.
You've taught them the skills. But once they step on the field, you can only parent them so far into the game. Coaching with Dr. Clifford helps young athletes build the mental tools to handle nerves, mistakes, and pressure on their own.
What your athlete gets
One-on-one coaching through the No Sidelines framework, plus their own CoachNow Space for check-ins between sessions.
What you get
Guidance on your role, because their performance isn't your report card. We'll work on the car ride home, and on celebrating the person, not just the performance.
For coaches
You coach the game. Who's coaching the mental game?
You can see it when a player's in their head. No Sidelines gives you a shared language and the tools to do something about it, so your staff, your players, and your parents are all on the same page.
Path one
Train your staff
I train you and your coaches on the No Sidelines framework: spotting a mental block versus a mechanical one, building the player relationship, and checking your own tape. Then you take it to your team.
Path two
Bring Dr. Clifford in
I work directly with your athletes. We kick off with a symposium, then run a twelve-week program through the season, with check-ins for coaches and players.
I'm Dr. Thiera Clifford, a licensed psychologist and mental performance coach with training in sport psychology. I'm also a team mom turned coach, so I know the game from the stands, the sideline, and the locker room. I help athletes train the part of the game nobody sees: what happens in their head.
My work blends psychology with real athlete development. We build confidence, focus, resilience, and the ability to reset when things don't go as planned. I also work with the parents and coaches around each athlete, because the mental game doesn't stop at the edge of the field.
My philosophy is simple: No Sidelines.
There's no sideline for your mind. Mental performance isn't something we only work on when there's a problem or right before game day. We train it, practice it, recover it, and strengthen it just like every other part of performance.
And there's no sideline for me either. I don't coach from a distance. I'm in the work with my athletes, helping them build skills, use them in real moments, reflect, adjust, and keep growing.
Train your mind. Trust your work. Compete with intention. Reset and go again.
Ready to train the mental game?
Whether you're the athlete, the parent in the stands, or the coach on the sideline, there's a place to start.
